F.A.Q. ~ Google Image Ripper

This section should answer some questions regarding Google Image Ripper.

Please tell me, what is Google Image Ripper?

Google Image Ripper shows full original images instead of the usual small thumbnails for a Google Image Search. The collage-like results surprise and inspire instantaneously. There is a web version and a greasemonkey version.

Greasemonkey? Uh-what?

The web version that’s running here has limited results. That’s why we created a greasemonkey version with much more results and speed, because it only depends on your browser instead of our server. Be sure to check it out and give it a spin. Greasemonkey is a plugin for Firefox and makes customization of websites possible.

I run a website and I don’t like my images being hotlinked. What can I do?

If you’re not happy with Google Image Ripper hotlinking your images, you can create hotlink protection or send a request to have your domain added to our blacklist.

Where did the NSFW option go?

It went on permanent holiday. No more NSFW results in the web version. The greasemonkey script still features them though, so be sure to give that a spin.
We decided to remove the NSFW option because of disturbing queries for illegal content. External sites were abusing the freedom of the ripper. It was never built for that purpose and we want nothing to do with that. The tool should inspire creatively, not be one of the shady alleys of the internets.
